So you have an idea for a book and you're wondering what to do next... You've inboxed multiple veteran Authors asking for help and even when they give you advice, you still haven't made the next steps necessary to start your book.
First let me say, this is the most frequently asked question from aspiring Authors. "I want to write a book. Where do I start?" I talk about this topic in the first chapter of my new book "Write That Book, Make That Money; Expert Strategies for Hungry Authors". Today alone I opened about seven emails from aspiring Authors seeking this very same answer. The answer to this question is quite simple. You must WRITE!
Some of you have been telling yourself that you wanted to write a book for years now and let me ask you this. How far have you gotten? If your answer is, nowhere, then make today your day to start. It's that easy! Remember, you set your own limitations. "I don't have time to write." "I have kids, so finding time to write is hard." Well guess what? You can conjure up every excuse in the book but honey, excuses and procrastination are dream killers. If you don't know where to begin, start jotting down ideas and you'll be surprised how much your creativity will start to guide your pen. Becoming an Author isn't as hard as some make it seem. If you believe in your story, your expertise or your talent, then make us believe in it as well and deliver that book! Remember, there is someone waiting to read what you have to say. Set a deadline for yourself and hold yourself accountable to deliver on that deadline. After you finish WRITING your book, then we can talk about the next steps to getting you published.
